Picking Your Dream Tattoo Design

Tattoo Design Review asked:

Tattoos are very common these days, with nearly 1 in 4 people having at least one.  Tattoos represent an art form, and allow people to broadcast who they are.  Even though they are popular, most people will end up regretting them.  In most cases, those who regret tattoos didn’t think about their design or take the time to choose the best tattoo for them.  Even though it is possible to get a tattoo removed, the process is expensive and quite painful.  To prevent this from happening, you should always take some time and find the perfect tattoo – your dream design.

Instead of trying to save some money, you should never choose a studio or artist based on how cheap they are.  Cheaper artists and studios normally lack in work quality, which is why they are able to charge cheaper prices. Instead, you should look for the best studio and artist that you can find close to your area.  Even though it may be expensive – the quality and design will be well worth it.

For some, their dream design is a person.  This can be a loved one or someone who has passed on.  You can always use a design or symbol that means something to you and reminds you of them or you can always use their face.  Good tattoo artists can make magical tattoos with meaning, whether it is someone’s face or a symbol that brings out meaning.

Sometimes, it can be hard picking out your dream design.  If you have an idea in mind but are still not sure what you want, you can always research.  You can get tattoo books, theme books, magazines, or just research online.  By looking at designs you may find something similar to what you are interested in.  Once you have found it, all you need to do is sit down with your tattoo artists and come up with your dream tattoo design.

If you have a basic idea for something small in mind, you can always have it tattooed then come back later and have more added on.  The best thing about tattoos is the fact that they can always be added to later.  This can be a great thing if you want to try a smaller tattoo first, and then decide whether or not you want to get it bigger.  If you start with a fraction of your dream design, you can always finish it up later on.

Whenever you get your dream tattoo you should always take time selecting the design.  Tattoos will stay with you forever, which is why you should pick them carefully.  If you put the necessary time and thought into it now, you won’t regret it later.  Your dream design should be very important, and hold meaning.  This way, every time you look at it – you’ll be reminded of that special moment in time and you’ll never forget about it.

Options for Removing a Tattoo

nlwest21 asked:

When we are young we do crazy things in order to make us look and seem cooler to other people. Right after I turned 18 I decided that I wanted to take advantages of the fact that I was now an adult and living on my own. So I got a tongue ring. Naturally I regretted it because my job didn’t want me wearing it and well let’s just say it wasn’t the most comfortable thing to have and I took it out a week later.

Unfortunately there are some decisions and alterations that we make that are more permanent then a simple tongue ring. One of the most common things that a person does to their body (besides piercing) is getting a tattoo. This seems permanent to most people and often times when they are older they will regret this. It could be that they regret the design that they got and find it too morbid for them now that they are older. Or perhaps it is keeping them from getting the job they want. Whatever the reason is there is a way to get rid of it or at least to try.

Laser Tattoo Removal

Using a laser is the most common method to getting rid of a tattoo. How it works is that it will target the ink with special pulses of highly concentrated light beams. These beams will break the ink into very tiny fragments. The immune system will then clear away the broken fragments over time. Keep in mind that most people use this treatment on the same tattoo more then just one time. The more treatments you have the more ink will be broken. However, the more treatments you use the more you will damage your skin and will cause scarring.

This method is described as being very painful. Depending on what type of tattoo you have and how big it is you could need up to 10 treatments to remove it. Each visit can cost anywhere from $250 to $850.

Intense Pulsed Light Tattoo Therapy

IPL is one of the more newer methods and is viewed as one of the best dermal enhancers that is used. It uses high intensity light instead of laser light. They will apply a gel to the skin and will then use a wand that will emit pulses of light onto the skin with the tattoo. This method is much less painful and also more effective. You will need less treatment.

Of course the better it is the more expensive it is. It usually costs $10 per pulse. Again depending on the type of tattoo you have you might find that dollar amount adding up.

Other Tattoo Removal Options

There are other tattoo removal options out there - but many of them are either too painful or too far fetched. Many people have come up with tattoo removal creams that you use at home. Some of these products have said to help fade the tattoo without doing any physical damage to the skin. Yet, these creams are still not popular and it has not been fully determined if they can completely remove the tattoo.

Anti Aging Skin Care | Anti Aging Treatment | Anti Aging Products

Alien asked:

There comes a time in everybody’s life when we start to consider the implications of growing old and the possibilities of using one of the many different anti aging treatments that are available. Coincidentally, this time of life is usually around the same time we discover our first wrinkle or laughter line. These first signs normally become apparent in your 30s or 40s if you are lucky and while that is the first time we will be likely to consider using anti aging treatment, we really should start using it earlier than this. By keeping our skin healthy from an earlier age we are at least prolonging the aging effect as long as possible.

If you do leave it until the very first signs of wrinkles it is possible to still do something about it. When the first wrinkles do materialise, don’t ignore them. Denial is the worst possible move at this point. Application of a good anti aging cream may help remove some of the wrinkles and stop new lines forming.

How do anti aging products work?

Good anti aging treatments are far from being a miracle cream, and contain vital nutrients and vitamins that are proven to help rejuvenate the skin. Most contain Retinol, a form of Vitamin A that has proven in recent studies to have a considerable rejuvenating effect on aging skin.

Other types of treatment use different chemicals and vitamins to improve the look of your aging skin.

The collagen molecules in skin begin to break down as we age and this is what creates the wrinkles and lines on our faces. Most anti aging creams are only able to contain partial collagen molecules because they are too large to enter the skin by use of a lotion. Hydroderm have developed the patented Collagen Infusion Delivery System. This innovative formula delivers entire collagen molecules into the skin, which give a healthy and rejuvenated glow taking away the wrinkles and lines associated with old age.

Dermabrasion is one of the oldest known treatments, developed in 105 by a German dermatologist. Originally created for the treatment of acne scars, it has been successfully used for many decades to remove many forms of skin abrasions and can even be used for the safe removal of tattoos. Dermabrasion patients do suffer a certain amount of rawness and slight pain in their faces once the treatment is complete and an opaque yellow fluid drains from the sites but this is perfectly normal and should be expected. The scabs that this liquid leaves can easily be removed with wet cloths.

Surgeons who carry out laser Dermabrasion insist it is a far superior form of Dermabrasion because the use of the laser facilitates much more accuracy and, therefore, better results.

Microdermabrasion utilises a fine mist of crystals that smoothen the skin and a vacuum action that removes dead outer layers of skin giving you smooth, soft surface alleviating the appearance of aging skin.

Microdermabrasion treats sun damaged skin, age spots, wrinkles, fine lines and just about every type of aging skin problem you may face. An entire program of Microdermabrasion can take as little as half an hour to complete and there is little discomfort and no side effects. Any skin colour can be treated and upon completion of the program the user can return to a normal daily life.

On the discovery of Microdermabrasion several years ago, it was first necessary to go to a professional dermatologist in order to receive the treatment however, now you can buy a home Microdermabrasion kit so you can do it yourself from the comfort of your own home.

Summary

The appearance of aging skin is an inevitable symptom of modern living. The increasing toxins in today’s society act like poisons upon our skin. This in turn causes acne and nasty abrasions to the skin that can be difficult to get rid of.

Dermatological studies have been conducted with many nutrients and vitamins and these can be used to help prevent the aging process. Botox and other such harsh treatments can be avoided with the use of creams or delicate dermatological procedures.

Dermabrasion, Microdermabrasion and Hydroderm are excellent examples of these. They are widely available either through chemists or, in the case of laser Dermabrasion from a dermatologist through your local hospital.

Using any of these treatments can help alleviate the appearances associated with aging and the toxins in modern society. The key is to start taking care of your skin at the earliest possible opportunity.

Tattoo Removal Options

tattoo removal
Ramarajan asked:

The removal of a tattoo is often thought of as being a very painful process.  Although the process may have been very painful in the past, the technology of today offers methods of removing tattoos.  Currently, there are two options to remove tattoos that are rapidly becoming more and more popular – laser technology and light based technology.

Both surgeries used light energy to destroy the ink in the tattoo.  The ink in the tattoo will absorb the energy of the light, breaking it up.  Once the ink starts to break up, it can easily be passed through and out of your body through filtering.  In most cases this is extremely safe, as the ink is broken down into micro size to where it can easily pass through the body with no complications.

The process is actually similar to the surgery in which hair is removed.  The surgeon or doctor who performs the surgery will hold a wand to the skin that is being treated.  As he does this, the pulses of light are aimed at the tattoo, breaking up the ink.  The wand is normally held right up against the tattoo, as this makes the pulses of light much more effective.

Normally, the feeling that you’ll experience is best described as an elastic or rubber band flicking constantly against your skin.  If the tattoo is big, the pain could certainly be a bit more intense.  The area where the tattoo is at is also important, as sensitive areas may cause you quite a bit of pain and discomfort.  If the area in which you have the tattoo doesn’t have a lot of muscle or tissue, you’ll more than likely want to be numbed as much as possible before starting the procedure.

Both laser and light based treatments are somewhat similar.  With both tattoo removal procedures, the doctor that is doing the procedure will always apply a cooling gel to the tattoo area that is being treated to cool the skin and conduct the energy of the light.  This cooling gel helps to draw the light, and at the same time protect your skin.  The gel will feel cool to the touch, although it will help your skin when the light pulses start to break the ink apart.

If you’ve been thinking about having a tattoo removed you should consider both light and laser based procedures.  Keep in mind that they are both expensive, and both impose risks.  Depending on how big your tattoo is and what the procedure involves, you may need to spend a night or two in the hospital.  Even though both procedures do offer ways to have your tattoo removed, you’ll need to think long and hard before you make a final decision. For More about Tattoos visit FREE TATTOOS DESIGN

Some Facts About Tattoo Removal

tattoo removal
Ricardo D Argence asked:

Tattoos have been around since before recorded history. There is evidence that the ancient Egyptians practiced tattooing, and primitive tribes today use tattooing for various tribal rituals as well.

Tattoos are created by making deep holes in the skin and filling them with pigment of some kind. Today’s tattoo artists use a tattoo gun with a fast moving needle that applies the ink as they move over a design drawn on the body.

Tattoos are fairly permanent once they are applied, so be sure you want one before you walk into the tattoo parlor. If you really want one, think carefully about the design you’re getting.

If you are determined to get a tattoo, choose the parlor carefully. It should be licensed by the state and keep hygienic standards.

Keep the design simple, up to three colors is still fairly easy for a doctor to remove if you find yourself disliking the tattoo in the future.

Think carefully about where you want the tattoo, try to choose someplace that will heal quickly, and is easy to conceal when you need to, like in the workplace. If you suspect an infection, see your doctor as soon as possible before it gets worse.

So, you have your tattoo, and down the road you decide to get it removed. Your doctor will probably refer you to a dermasurgeon for the procedure.

The doctor’s choice of removal procedure will depend a lot on the size of the tattoo, the location of the tattoo, and how long you’ve had it. How your body heals may also factor into his or her decision.

Most tattoo removals will leave at least minor scarring, and maybe color variations in the skin. The success of the removal will depend on the size of the tattoo, the location, the evenness of the pigment and the age of the tattoo.

Excision is used on small tattoos, or in several stages for larger ones. The site is anesthetized, and then the tattoo is excised, or cut away.

The edges of the incision is then brought together and stitched. If this method is used for a large tattoo removal, a skin graft may be needed.

Dermabrasion is a procedure where a solution is sprayed on the tattoo which freezes the area. It is then “sanded” off with a rotary abrasive tool that makes the skin peel.

A dressing is applied afterwards, since some bleeding will happen.

Laser is considered the best method of tattoo removal by many physicians. A cream is rubbed on to numb the skin, and then pulses of laser light is applied, breaking up the pigment.

The healing process will remove the broken up pigment. Laser treatment usually takes more than one visit.

Salabrasion is a centuries-old technique to remove tattoos. A local anesthetic is used to numb the area. Then a solution of water and table salt is applied.

An abrading tool, like the one used in dermabrasion is applied, or sometimes a simple little block of wood covered in gauze is used to abrade the area. When the area turns red, a dressing is applied.

A Less Painful Way to Get Rid of Tattoos

Tattoo removal cream
Ashley Ford asked:

I am super shocked about this, apparently there is a new way for you to get rid of an unwanted tattoo. And it does not included going to several laser removal sessions. I have just read an article claiming that there is a cream that can be injecting into your tattoo and it will literally push out the ink to the surface of your skin and will leave your skin scar free and have no evidence of a tattoo every being there.

Supposedly, there are some cosmetic surgeons that say they can get rid of the ink by injecting your skin with a cream which softens the ink and pushes it to the surface. And within six to eight weeks after a scab falls off the ink from your tattoo falls off with it and you are left with non noticeable tattoo free skin.

Some experts claim that this new procedure has been used here in the United States and that it is much cheaper and a lot less painful than the laser removal option and it also has little to no scarring compared to laser removal.

This new treatment is currently being done in London. Stuart Harrison, director of Oxford Skin Clinics, said: “This works by using the body’s natural processes. The reason the tattoo stays there is that a coating is put around the link to protect it from the body’s immune response.

“But this cream makes the ink identifiable to the body so that it realises the ink is there and starts rejecting it and healing itself.”

Sturwart also added how the process feels,

“It is uncomfortable rather than painful, but it is less painful than having the tattoo itself and certainly a lot less painful than having laser treatment.

So if you have any unwanted tattoos on your body maybe you should look into this procedure.

Breast Reconstruction Surgery and Post Operative Care

Tattoo removal cream
Dave Stringham asked:

Breast reconstruction offers hope to women who have lost or face the possibility of losing their breast(s) to cancer or other diseases. Breast reconstruction is typically performed using either implants or your own abdominal tissue. In a majority of cases however, plastic surgeons use tissue expanders and implants to restore the size and shape of the breast. Tissue expanders are devices much like a breast implant, which are inserted underneath the chest wall muscle (pectoralis muscle) immediately following mastectomy. After a short period of healing, saline is injected periodically into the tissue expanders using a small needle. Once the volume and shape of the breast is achieved with the tissue expander, a second surgery is performed to remove the tissue expander and insert the breast implant. This second surgery is often done on an outpatient basis.

You may ask, why not just insert an implant immediately after the mastectomy. In a mastectomy, an ellipse of skin around the nipple and areola (the pigmented area surrouding the nipple) is typically taken along with the breast tissue. This creates a deficit of skin which needs to be replaced. A tissue expander allows for the growth of this replacement skin as the expanding implant stretches the overlying skin. Once the replacement of skin is adequate for the shape and size of the new breast, a breast implant is inserted

After a period of healing, a new nipple can be reconstructed out of the skin overlying the implant and a new areola can be tattooed some time after that.

Your breasts are wrapped with an ACE wrap. Leave the wrap on until you are seen again in follow-up at the office. If the wrap is too tight, you can undo the ACE bandage and rewrap it more loosely. But, the ACE bandage should be snug and provide support. Also, the ACE bandage should cover the entire upper, middle, and lower breast. DO not wear it like a tube-top with cleavage showing up top. No showering until your drains are out. You can sponge bathe everywhere else, but keep your ACE wrap clean and dry.

Take medications as directed. Do not take aspirin, anti-inflammatory medications (Motrin, Ibuprofen, Alleve) or Vitamin E supplements for 2 weeks after surgery.

No driving while under narcotic medications for pain.

Empty and record your drain output daily.

Ask your plastic surgeon in your first follow-up visit regarding going back to work.

You should sleep on your back for 2 weeks following surgery.

Avoid alcohol or cigarette smoking for at least 3 weeks following surgery.

Call and make a follow-up appointment for 7 days following surgery.

Do not raise your arms over the level of your shoulder for 3 weeks. Do not pick up objects heavier than a phone book.

Do not apply a heating pad over your breasts. Portions of your breasts will be numb and you may get a burn from the heating pad. Cold packs in the first 48 hours following surgery is OK and may help to keep the swelling down. Apply cold packs over the ACE wrap, not directly over the breasts and nipples.

Scar therapy for your incisions will start at 2 weeks following surgery. Your plastic surgeon will instruct you regarding scar creams.

You may return to normal activity and exercise at 3 weeks following surgery.

If you are constipated, take over-the-counter laxatives. You do not want to strain over the toilet. This may lead to your blood pressure rising and cause bleeding.
